National Breast Cancer Foundation

What we do today will echo down the generations

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public. We receive no government funding.

Breast cancer is currently the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. More than 18,000 women and men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone. Sadly each day more than eight loved ones will be lost to this disease. It’s a disease that can’t be ignored.

Since NBCF’s inception in 1994, the 5-year survival rate for breast cancer has improved from 76% to 91%. It’s amazing progress. Progress that proves our strategy of funding world-class research is working.

NBCF is committed to funding innovative research that will improve outcomes and the quality of life for those affected by breast cancer. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters we have invested $162 million in 514 Australian breast cancer research projects. Research is the only way to understand more about the cause and development of breast cancer – so that we can more effectively prevent, diagnose and treat it.

Beating breast cancer is a long term commitment. A gift in your Will to NBCF is an opportunity to support this vision and commitment. It is a legacy that will alter the face and future of breast cancer in Australia.

If you would like to know more about the difference your gift could have please call NBCF on 1300 708 763 or email bequests@nbcf.org.au
